Jeremy Walker serves as Chief Executive Officer for the Alabama Association of Realtors. He manages the affairs of the Association and advocacy efforts in state government. Jeremy received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Alabama and his J.D. from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law.
The Alabama Association of REALTORS® (AAR) was founded in 1922 and is the largest statewide organization of real estate professionals with more than 18,000 members from 23 local boards and 5,000 real estate companies. AAR’s members work in the sale, lease, appraisal and development of residential, commercial, rural and resort properties throughout Alabama.
Edgar is a lifelong resident of the Shoals and is the son of one of the firm’s founders, Marcel Black. Edgar received a degree in English from the University of Alabama, and attended law school at Cumberland School of Law. Edgar is also a graduate of Leadership Shoals and the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum.
In the office, Edgar maintains a general practice with a particular focus on real estate, corporate formation and governance, probate matters, and landlord / tenant law. He currently serves as a member of the Alabama Board of Bar Commissioners, which is the governing body of the Alabama State Bar. In that role he represents the interests of Colbert County attorneys. In the community, Edgar served for two years as Board President for Shoals Habitat for Humanity. He currently serves as secretary of the Jennie Frank Berry Foundation for FAME Girls’ Ranch. Edgar and his wife Abby have two daughters.
Price Evans is Vice President and Commercial Underwriting Counsel at Old Republic National Title Insurance Company. He advises Company agents and approved attorneys on title insurance policy coverages and handles commercial real estate transactions throughout Alabama and across the country. Price is a co-author of Alabama Property Rights and Remedies, Sixth Edition, professor at Birmingham School of Law, member of the Alabama Law Institute Real Estate Study Committee, Fellow of the of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and a frequent speaker on real property and title insurance matters.
He is involved with the Alabama State Bar, having served two terms as Chairman of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section and a member of the ASB Leadership Forum Class 15 (2020). Price is also an active member in the Birmingham Bar Association, having served as the Secretary/Treasurer, along with previous officer positions with the Young Lawyers Section, and participant in the Future Leaders Forum (2016). Price also is the Alabama Governmental Affairs Chairman for the Southeast Land Title Association. Price received a B.A. from The University of Alabama and a J.D., with honors, from Birmingham School of Law.
Beau Brown is the General Counsel of the Alabama Securities Commission in Montgomery, AL, where he manages a complex civil and criminal caseload and represents the Commission’s interests at the State Legislature on issues that affect policy and legislation. In this role, Beau also addresses a myriad of legal issues that come into the Commission. During his tenure at the Alabama Securities Commission, Beau has helped facilitate a number of nationally publicized multi-state cooperative enforcement matters and routinely works with federal agencies on cases involving securities, cryptocurrency, and other decentralized financial products. He also serves as the attorney assigned on behalf of the Commission in the largest joint-filing between the CFTC and state regulators to date.
Beau is a seasoned prosecutor with over 23 years of experience at both the state and federal level. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney where he prosecuted financial crimes, identity theft, and cyber fraud. He also served as an Assistant District Attorney where he started the office’s white-collar fraud division, prosecuted homicide and other violent felonies, and led the office’s narcotics unit. Throughout his career, Beau has coordinated and litigated numerous multi-jurisdictional fraud actions with various state and federal agencies.
On two separate occasions, Beau was tasked to the Alabama Attorney General’s Office as a part of the prosecution team in separate impeachment actions involving elected sheriffs in Alabama, with the first case being the first impeachment trial before the Alabama Supreme Court in over 50 years.
Beau earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.
Patrick Curry is a title industry operator focused on transforming how real estate data is organized, structured, and used at scale. As President and Founder of Allegiance Title of Arkansas, he leads one of the fastest-growing title agencies in Arkansas while building technology systems that modernize document workflows across the industry.
Patrick built his career at the intersection of finance, operations, and real estate infrastructure, beginning at Deloitte Tax in Denver, Colorado. After Deloitte, he spent 15 years at WACO Title Company, where he served as Controller, COO, and later President and CEO. During that time, he developed large-scale operational systems and built a reputation for process efficiency and customer service execution.
In 2021, he founded Allegiance Title with a focus on combining high-touch customer service with data-driven operations. His current work centers on real estate document digitization, structured data extraction, and AI-enabled workflow automation. He has been an early advocate and industry contributor to PropertySync, a platform helping standardize how title plants and real estate records are stored and accessed digitally.
Patrick serves on the advisory board for First National Bank of Northwest Arkansas and was appointed by former Governor Asa Hutchinson to Arkansas’ Electronic Recording Commission, where he supports statewide modernization of recording infrastructure. He was also recognized as one of the Arkansas 250 Most Influential Business Leaders, highlighting his role in advancing innovation within the state’s real estate and business communities.
Outside of work, he spends time with his wife Sarah and their four children, enjoys running, baking bread, and coaching youth sports.
Billy Roehrenbeck is the owner of Pulaski County Title in Little Rock, Arkansas. He also owns Hot Springs Title in Hot Springs, Pine Bluff Title in Pine Bluff and is co-owner of Perry County Title in Perryville, Arkansas. Billy is a forward thinking business owner who embraces tech in his title companies. He is Past President and current chair of the Legislative Committee of the Arkansas Land Title Association. His service with ARLTA is honored by several recognitions including Young Title Person of the Year, Distinguished Service Award, Past-President Recognition, 25-year Service Award and Titleman of the Year. He is also a member of the American Land Title Association. He is a frequent speaker and community leader of many organizations including the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Rotary Club 99, Leadership Greater Little Rock, UALR Foundation Funding Board, UALR College of Business Real Estate Advisory Board, and the Arkansas Healthcare Transparency Initiative Board among others. Billy is a proud graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, however, his proudest achievement is marrying his wife, Dr. Lizzy Sullivan and being a father to Kimber, his daughter.
Thomas Bailey is an attorney and Chief Operating Officer with ADM Title Services in Huntsville, Alabama. Born in Birmingham and raised in Huntsville, Thomas grew up with a strong appreciation for community, service, and doing things the right way. He began serving his community at a young age and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
Thomas graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a bachelor’s degree in business and earned his Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law. While at Cumberland, he had the honor of serving on the Cumberland Law Review.
Today, Thomas enjoys working in the title industry because it sits at the intersection of law, real estate, problem-solving, and helping people through some of life’s biggest transactions. He takes pride in building relationships, supporting his team, and finding better ways to serve clients and communities across North Alabama. Outside of work, Thomas is a husband, father, and proud Alabamian who enjoys spending time outdoors.
Paul Stine is the Co-Founder & CEO of CloseSimple, a technology company helping title and escrow companies modernize the closing experience through integrated customer communication, fraud prevention, workflow automation, and payments. Under Paul’s leadership, CloseSimple has grown into a widely adopted platform across the title industry, helping companies create a more secure, connected, and branded experience for their teams, partners, and customers.
Michael Thomas, PLS, serves as the Survey Director and is an Associate Shareholder at Sain. He is a certified Professional Land Surveyor and has over 25 years of surveying experience involving residential and commercial projects, construction staking, stakeout, and grading of roadways. He also has numerous years of experience performing ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic and boundary surveys, and right-of-way and easement surveys.
Michael’s leadership extends well beyond Sain. He is actively involved in professional and civic organizations that support the surveying profession and local communities. He currently serves as President-Elect of the Alabama Society of Professional Land Surveyors (ASPLS). In addition, Michael was recently appointed Chairman of the City of Jemison Planning Commission.
Outside the office, Michael enjoys spending time outdoors and staying connected to the land—fitting for a surveyor at heart. His hobbies include raising cattle for farm-to-fork as well as fishing – pursuits that reflect his appreciation for hard work, sustainability, and time well spent outside.
Spencer Huey has been in the title insurance industry since 1993 and is a licensed title agent with Magic City Title, Inc. He served as the inaugural president of LTAAL and is currently serving as the immediate past president.
Hayes Ellett is an Associate Area Counsel and Assistant Vice President with the FNF Family of Companies for the ALMA Region in the Birmingham office. In this role, he provides underwriting guidance on title and real estate matters.
A native of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Hayes earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 2011. He began his career in banking with Bank of Lincoln County, where he served as both a loan officer and in-house appraiser for nearly five years, developing a strong foundation in lending and real property valuation.
Hayes later attended the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, graduating in 2019, and subsequently gained experience in both large firm and small firm environments. His practice has included work at a traditional law firm, partnership in a smaller firm setting, and service as counsel for a corporate title agency—providing him with a well-rounded perspective on real estate transactions and title insurance operations.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Hayes enjoys running, golfing, and spending time with his family. He is married to Christal Ellett, a third-grade teacher and fellow Auburn University graduate.
Sylvion Seffel Moss is the principal attorney of Law Works, LLC, a firm she founded in 2019 and which is a member of Red Mountain Law Group. Her practice focuses on solving real estate and business disputes and helping her clients with transactions critical to their business and investment strategies. She practices extensively in quiet title litigation, particularly involving tax sales and tax deeds, and in addressing myriad real property puzzles. Sylvion also advises and guides small and mid-size businesses from formation through their growth and development.
Sylvion graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1990 and following a handful of years working in politics in Washington, D.C., obtained her J.D. in 1998 from the George Mason University School of Law (now the Antonin Scalia School of Law). She clerked in Fairfax County Circuit Court and practiced with a respected northern Virginia business and land use firm until relocating to Birmingham in 2005. Between 2010-2019 Sylvion joined and later became a named partner of a boutique real estate and business firm in Birmingham.
Sylvion is an active member of the Alabama State Bar (ASB) and the Birmingham Bar Association (BBA), and is 2026 Secretary of the Birmingham Bar Foundation, also chairing its Grants Committee. For several years, Sylvion has served on the ASB Government Relations and Health and Wellness Committees. She served as the 2023 Chair of the Women Lawyers Section (WLS) of the BBA and received the WLS Distinguished Service Award in 2017-2018 and in 2025. Sylvion participated as an active member of the BBA Scholarship Committee from 2012-2015, and its co-chair for one year. In 2023, Sylvion was honored to be selected as a Birmingham Bar Foundation Fellow. She is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell™, has been recognized as a SuperLawyer from 2021-2025, and received the 2023 Best of the Bar honor awarded by the Birmingham Business Journal.
Sylvion’s community involvement includes serving as a member of The Other Foundation and prior service on the Advocacy Committee for the Women’s Foundation of Alabama and the Board of Directors for Sweet Om Alabama; volunteering as a reading tutor for the STAIR program and Better Basics and as a member of the fundraising committee for Girls on the Run; and representing The Charity League of Birmingham as its elected President. In 1994, Sylvion was selected as a Delegate to the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL), traveling to Uruguay and Argentina.
Sylvion is a certified yoga instructor and enjoys her non-professional moments with her new husband (also a Birmingham attorney) and in the peaceful pursuits of traveling, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
Jim Robertson has worked in risk management for over 10 years, specializing in ID verification since 2020. He currently leads the business development team at CertifID, helping agents and attorneys protect client funds while streamlining workflows.
