TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
You don’t want to miss the Land Title Association of Alabama’s Summer Conference, August 24-25 at the Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook! Today’s Alabama’s Title Professionals “Wear All The Hats!” Not only do we perform the traditional roles as abstractor, examiner and closer, but we’re also business owners and now fraud preventers! We’ll have a hat for each attendee to wear to add to the fun! Early Registration expires August 11th. If you’re not a member, please join first to get the member rate. Dues are prorated daily. As a reminder, Licensed Title Agents and Attorneys are considered agents for membership purposes. Click on the REGISTRATION tab to register online. The SCHEDULE, SPEAKER INFORMATION, SPONSORS and ATTENDEE LIST are on each tab on our website for your review.
The room block also expires August 11th so please click on the VENUE tab to make your reservation at the Grand Bohemian Mountain Brook at a room rate of $289 a night.
We have a great line-up of speakers including our Keynote Speaker, Jeremy Walker, Chief Executive Officer of The Alabama Association of REALTORS®. The FBI and Secret Service will update us on the latest fraud schemes. The Alabama Department of Insurance will present our ethics hour. Need to know about Tax Sale property? Will Hereford with Burr & Forman plans to fill you in. Are you interested in learning more about heirship property and probate? Learn from Probate Judge Woodroof and Doug Bachuss. Amy Steindorff and Edgar Black will update us on current AL case law, legislation, FinCEN and CTA.
Remember that your registration fee entitles you to 6 hours CE from the Alabama Department of Insurance and 6 hours CLE from the Alabama State Bar including 1 hour of ethics. Sunday night we will have a reception/hospitality suite with heavy hors d’oeuvres, 2 drink tickets and entertainment. Monday, we’ll include a continental breakfast as well as lunch. It will be a great time to connect with your Alabama title friends as well as meet new agents, abstractors, sponsors and probate judges/chief clerks from around the state.
