Lori A. Brown-James is an Alabama real estate attorney and title professional with more than three decades of experience navigating complex title matters, probate issues, tax sales, easements, lender compliance, and high-volume residential and commercial transactions. A graduate of Jacksonville State University, Lori earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Computer Science before obtaining her Juris Doctor from Birmingham School of Law in 1993. Her dual background in accounting and technology continues to shape her structured, system-driven approach to real estate law and title operations. She is a partner at Wilson, Dillon, Pumroy & James, L.L.C.
She enjoys working closely and building relationships with underwriters, lenders, agents, and clients to ensure that transactions close cleanly and defensibly. In her legal practice, Lori has focused on building structured internal systems that elevate both compliance and client experience. She works closely with her team to implement workflow automation, standardized intake procedures, and integrated digital tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and communication within her practice.
Lori is passionate about mentoring her team and cultivating a culture of professionalism, accountability, and service. She views the title industry as a critical safeguard in real estate transactions and takes pride in contributing to the integrity of the title industry.
When not closing files or building systems, Lori enjoys time with her husband and family that includes the cutest grandson and precious two fur babies. She loves to travel and spend time with friends at the lake.
