LTAAL Represents at Alabama Probate Judges’ Association Conference
The Land Title Association of Alabama was proud to be represented at the Alabama Probate Judges’ Association Conference, held March 10–12 in Montgomery. LTAAL representatives Stephanie Burton, Lauren Malbrough, Mark Davis, Anna Batten, and Edgar Black had the opportunity to meet with probate judges and their staff from across the state, engage in meaningful conversations, and share the mission and work of our organization. Our booth remained active throughout the event, and the conference provided an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about the role LTAAL plays in supporting the title insurance industry and promoting sound real estate recording practices.
Thanks to the generosity of our members, we were able to offer a variety of donated items at our table — all of which were enthusiastically received and quickly claimed by attendees. These giveaways helped draw interest and foot traffic, giving us a chance to start conversations and build relationships with officials who are integral to the work we do. Our sincere thanks go out to North Alabama Abstract, Fidelity National Title Group, Magic City Title, Land Title Company of Alabama, Jeff Parmer, SoftPro, River Region Title Services, USA Title/Extreme Abstract, and Westcor, who contributed to making our table both inviting and informative.
In our discussions with probate judges, we focused on a number of important topics, particularly around record room operations and the unique needs of the title industry. We emphasized our shared goal of ensuring that real property records are accessible, accurate, and efficiently maintained. Many judges expressed interest in strengthening the connection between their offices and our industry, and we encouraged them to see LTAAL members as valuable resources and partners in that effort.
Lauren Malbrough spoke to the group of judges about our association and awarded 4 $50 gift cards as door prizes to some of the lucky probate judges and chief clerks in attendance.
Our presence at the conference was not just about advocacy — it was also about collaboration. By offering our support and expertise, we hope to help probate offices across Alabama streamline their processes in ways that benefit the courts, our industry, and the communities we all serve. Building these relationships helps lay the groundwork for continued cooperation and progress in the years ahead. We look forward to participating in future events and thank the Alabama Probate Judges’ Association for welcoming us to their conference. It was a productive and energizing experience, and we are excited to continue this important dialogue.
