Revision to Alabama’s Mobile Home Statute
Section 32-20-21 of the Alabama Code was amended in 2022 as it relates to mobile home certificates of title. In the prior version (enacted in 2010), certificates of title for mobile homes designated over 20 years old could not be canceled. However, as time has passed and data accumulated by the department has increased, the amended statute clarifies that certificates of title for mobile homes designated 1999 and prior year models cannot be canceled. This statute went into effect immediately upon being signed into law.
